Hello World,
Here is a quick update of my life. I am currently interning at Heritage Digital Academy. My official title is Enrichment Intern, but I like to think of myself as Enrichment Coordinator. I coordinate all activities that are not related to the classroom. I plan the extra stuff known here as Enrichment. My biggest plan as of late is to create a dynamic internship program with CSU San Marcos. Another plan of mine is to plan student showcase.
Today, I need a place to brainstorm. I need to lay out the foundations of this Show Case. What is my vision? What is the purpose of this event? Something I need to think about is K-1 Speedway Night. We cannot have too many fundraisers in the same time frame. Hence, I have to keep the Show Case reasonable.
So now, on figurative paper, I will brainstorm for my Showcase.
I have completed a little research on the components of a Talent Show/Showcase. It is a lot. I looks like many sleepless nights of preparation. I am hoping that with a thorough brainstorm this might not be too stressful.
I envision this showcase to be a place for all my enrichment programs to show off their hard work for the year. They will have about 3-10 minutes to show their skills. This can also be a talent show as well. Students and parents would buy $5 tickets for this event. This will be a fundraiser for our enrichment program. It would be nice to make over $200. That's all.
And, that is my quick vision of a brainstorm. My next steps are
1) To make a PA Announcement
2) To send out a Volunteer Help Shout Out to parents.
3) Pick Audition Dates
4) Pick Rehearsal Dates
5) Make Fliers
I need some major help with:
1) Food
2) Backstage Crew
3) Publicity
4) Set-up and Clean up (What will the lay out look like?)
5) Record Performance
6) Production (Lights and Sound)
7) Art Vendors
I am sure there is more, but I can't remember them. This is what I am going to talk about with my Director (AKA Principal), Jen Cooper. I wish I could be at teacher meetings, but I teach Yearbook.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Jenna
